Spring has returned. The Earth is like a child that knows poems.

The bulbs are exploding here and with the prospect of a warmer spell over the next week or so , we are hopeful everything will soon burst into life

To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often.

The front lawn does not look like this any more ! , We have the dove coop , duck house and a resident mole that is changing the landscape daily

And when it rains on your parade, look up rather than down. Without the rain, there would be no rainbow.

Have seen some stunning rainbows while we have been here , lots of indoor work planned today

There is a principle which is a bar against all information, which is proof against all argument, and which cannot fail to keep a man in everlasting ignorance. This principle is, contempt prior to examination.

William Paley

We have a visitor today, and this is his favourite quote .

This kiss of the sun for pardon, the song of the birds for mirth ,

We are nearer God's heart in a garden than anywhere else on earth .

Lovely to see everything springing to life , had amazingly clear skies here last night , you felt like you could touch the stars

The path isnt a straight line; its a spiral. You continually come back to things you thought you understood and see deeper truths.

 Ritu Ghatourey

The bulb spiral that we planted in November 2012 and first saw last spring is back again we are seeing it in a totally different way.

A circle is the reflection of eternity. It has no beginning and it has no end - and if you put several circles over each other, then you get a spiral. Maynard James Keenan.

.When life seems to be  spiralling  out of control I find it is great to get outside in nature and look at all the spirals that there are to be found there.

“Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don't resist them; that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.”
― Laozi

Life is about learning , sometimes it is a steep curve , but worthwhile

It is only in sorrow bad weather masters us; in joy we face the storm and defy it.

Let's hope that is the last of the  really bad storms,  we have been so lucky here , but our thoughts are with those who were not so fortunate

Well a few branches down and a smashed gate are small problems when you think we endured 88 mph gusts yesterday.

A power cut has blown a valve on our bio-mass boiler , but we have got off lightly , especially when you hear about others problems

You pray for rain, you gotta deal with the mud too. That's a part of it.

We have had gravel put down in the dog side of the garden ... the mud was too much , especially in the house !
