Aberporth Coastal Path

This 1km long, high quality surfaced path built to the wheelchair gradient standards laid out in 'By All Reasonable Means' was completed in 2009. The path begins at Headland Place where there are wheelchair friendly toilet facilities and parking but it can also be accessed from the disabled bays of the Brynseiol Chapel car park off Heol y Graig, all of which lie to the east of Aberporth Bay. The route follows the first part of a cliff top section of the Coast Path which runs to Tresaith and which affords spectacular views of the Ceredigion coastline and Cardigan Bay. There are wheelchair friendly picnic benches 100 metres and 1 Km (0.6 miles) from the car park. The sea off Aberporth has the highest level of dolphin sightings in the UK! Read More...

We are a short drive from the Welsh Wildlife Centre at nearby Cilgerran

Cardigan Island Coastal Farm is well worth a visit - a unique farm park is stunningly located on a scenic headland, overlooking the nature reserve of Cardigan Island, which is just 200 yards off-shore, so it can be clearly viewed from the park.

Cardigan Island is home to thousands of nesting sea-birds, so access has to be restricted. It also has a flock of wild Soay sheep, originally from the isle of Soay, south of Skye, Scotland.

A colony of Atlantic grey seals breed in the many caves below the farm park cliffs and can be seen virtually every day.

Cardigan Bay's bottlenose dolphins are frequent visitors to the waters surrounding the park, particularly during calm weather, when they swim closer to the shore. They can be viewed clearly from the park.

Dolphin Spotting Boat Trips

Dolphins can be spotted almost anywhere on the Cardigan Bay coast , MWNT is a favourite at sunset with binoculars . The’ Ship’  at Tresaith records all dolphin sightings.

Boat trips can be taken from Newquay enjoy the breathtaking views of the C.M.H.C. aboard one of our vessels.  New Quay Boat Trips can offer you a one hour cruise south to Cwmtudu where you will see amazing sights including bird colonies,Seal haul out Areas & Castell bach, the local ruins of an  iron age settlement. And don't forget! The chance of seeing some of the many bottle nosed dolphins and porpoise.
